2020 Calendar - Fishing Villages - is Now for Sale

I'm pleased to announce that my 2020 calendar, entitled Fishing Villages Across America, is now available for sale.

“Why fishing villages,” my husband asked? “They are smelly, dirty and run down,” he added.

Exactly!  Sailboats and pleasure vessels are normally pristine with everything in its place.  And that is nice.  But a workboat has character.  Each rust stain and peel of paint is a badge of accomplishment, of bringing home the bacon.  Perhaps that is it.  My love of workboats and fishing villages is fueled by my love of crabs and lobster, shrimp and scallops, clams and mussels.  Yum!

As I’ve traveled along both coasts in this country, I often ask the locals if there is a fishing village near by,  a place where the dirty, old fishing vessels are moored.  Most people look at me like I’m weird.   But I love walking along an old wharf, littered with traps, buoys and baskets and gawk at the boats and imagine their off-shore adventures.

I hope you enjoy this collection of photos from those walks.  The calendar is printed high quality paper with the latest in digital press technology.  It is available in two sizes, 8.5 X 11 and 11 X 14.  They make excellent holiday gifts but be sure to order before October 1st, as the printing company has alerted us to a big price hike then.  To view and order the calendar, go to Fishing Villages
